David Crowder Band (NASHVILLE, Tenn.) March 7, 2008—sixstepsrecords’ David Crowder*Band offers fans a limited edition of its September 2007 release, REMEDY, on April 29. The project continues to gain widespread recognition, garnering four 2008 Dove Award nominations and contributing to David Crowder’s eight nods, tying him with Casting Crowns’ Mark Hall as this year’s lead nominee.

Continuing the excitement surrounding last fall’s REMEDY release, which has already sold 130,000+ copies and produced the Top 5 AC single “Everything Glorious,” David Crowder*Band fans will soon be able to pick up REMEDY: Limited Edition, in stores April 29. In addition to the original CD song set, this limited edition version will include a bonus DVD with five song videos; four live videos shot in high definition from the “REMEDY Club Tour,” which boasted 19 sold-out dates and whose “Surely We Can Change Something” campaign collected thousands of towels and socks for local shelters, while encouraging attendees to “be the Remedy” in their local communities. The fifth video included is Dove-nominated Short Form Music Video, “Foreverandever Etc...”

The band’s first studio recording since A Collision in 2005, REMEDY is a continuation of its predecessor, offering ten accessible, pop-centric tracks that dive deep into the theology of worship. In addition to the radio hit “Everything Glorious,” “Never Let Go” is currently vying for adds at Christian AC radio. For more information on REMEDY and David Crowder Band, please visit www.remedyiscoming.com and www.davidcrowderband.com.

One week prior to the limited edition’s release, REMEDY will contend for Dove Awards in the categories of Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song (“Everything Glorious”), Rock/Contemporary Album, Praise & Worship Album, and Recorded Music Packaging. David Crowder*Band was among the top nominees this year, additionally nominated for Group of The Year and Short Form Music Video (“Foreverandever, Etc.).

The GMA Dove Awards will be produced in high definition and broadcast live on the Gospel Music Channel from 8 – 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.

After the David Crowder Band was voted MSN’s Artist of the Year 2006, MSN noted, “They’ve single-handedly redefined what contemporary Christian music should sound like…” The group’s last record, A Collision, was widely regarded as one of the best albums of 2005, receiving five-star reviews and comparisons to groundbreaking albums of the past and artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Hank Williams. The album further garnered an iTunes No. 1, debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard Top 200 and received GMA Music Dove Award honors for Best Rock/Contemporary Album and Best Rock/Contemporary Song (“Here is Our King”). Featured at the enormously popular collegiate Passion gatherings, the band also makes it a point to get back to the church they helped found, University Baptist Church, on most Sundays. Crowder is further an acclaimed author, having penned two books, including his acclaimed, highly personal, Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, But Nobody Wants to Die: Or (The Eschatology of Bluegrass).
